Was on a Blogiday. Back for a Recap.

WOW!
I've got some catching up to do here.

You can see lots of pictures from our first run together as a group as well as videos such as the one right here.

I would be extremely remiss to not say how very fantastic  musician and booking agent Mike D,  owner Frank and all the staff from Security to the promoters (hey Justin!) , have been to us.

We thank you.

I thank you.

Brent Angelo Photography
With the caliber of player we have, with everyone's combined experience, with as hard as we rehearsed and hustled, I can't be too surprised by how well we work together and how much we are getting done and so quickly! I've been non-stop.

Ron Keel, Michele Ari (needs the "say cheese" cue) and Frank Hannon

Our most recent show  was a sheer rock and roll blast! The booking agent for Tonic Lounge, Bradly,  had seen us at the above show and invited us to open for Ron Keel (Keel) and Frank Hannon of Tesla. My band were right. They were two really cool guys. We got super shout outs during their sets and I got a very big hug from Ron saying he wished we had played longer (My response? "We would be glad to come to Vegas-where he lives- to open for you and play longer."  )  Ironically, it is due in part to the fact that we didn't play a second over our allotted time that promoter Tony Lopez immediately invited us to open for Eddie Money this coming August on Sunday the 3rd. Eddie Money.  He really enjoyed our set and we are thrilled for the opportunity. Besides, who does not love Eddie Money? So far I have not talked with a single person who doesn't. If, by the way, whomever it is that will be with him singing Ronnie's part goes "missing" and needs an emergency fill in- NOT guilty. Not me.

The people who came out to the Tonic show deserve kudos as well.  Thank you for coming early to support us, for introducing yourselves, for being so very vocal about how much you dug the music and for being wildly enthusiastic! Portland you know how to do shows right. And, as we end off a successful Phase One and move onto Phase Two where we will be adding new songs to the set list and doing some new things, many thanks to everyone who has supported us by coming to shows, to those who bought music, asked for  autographs and joined the newsletter,  to PAC NW radio and blogs for having me as a guest, to the venues we have played thus far, to the photographers (Brent Angelo, Jason Savage, Paul Brown and Mle Gross) who have taken great pics- thanks! And to my new fellow Portland musicians who have made a point of coming to see "the new girl in town" and your friends you've been playing with forever doing something new, thanks. It means everything. You have my support as well.

All right. Onward and upward. Feel free to say hi anytime. Purchase music here. It is still what fuels the fire despite all rumors to the contrary.

Cheers,

Mx

p.s. I am now on Tumblr (see previous blog) for my more "arty" and whimsical posts. I need to be more arty and whimsical.
